Spoilt for Choice: 1 in 4 Parcels Processed Out of Hours in 2025

  • New data from Collect+ shows that more than one in four (27%) of all parcels were picked-up or dropped-off (PUDO) outside of office hours (18:00-09:00) in the last year
  • Mondays were the most popular for PUDO services in 2025, with almost a third (30%) of daily volumes processed before 09:00 and between 18:00-midnight
  • Collect+ processed over 130 million parcels last year, of which nearly 40 million were during out of office hours

Welwyn Garden City, 09 February 2026: More than 130 million parcels were picked-up or dropped off at Collect+ locations over the last year, and over a quarter (27%) of these were outside of office working hours, reveals new data from Collect+, the leading Out-of-Home (OOH) parcel network from PayPoint.

On average in 2025, nearly 40 million parcels were processed out of office hours. Mondays remained the most popular for all services, averaging 18% of total weekly volumes throughout the year, while weekend volumes had reduced average volumes of 11%.

The data provides compelling evidence that consumers are increasingly taking advantage of the convenience and choice offered by PUDO services. No surprise given the incredible choice of available locations and early-til-late flexibility of store opening times.

There was also a slight increase in lunchtime parcel runs, with nearly one in 10 (9%) of weekday drop offs and collections occurring between noon and 2pm.

Collect+ also recorded a significant usage in convenient store printing services, with over three quarters (76%) of all customers opting to print labels in-store.

With busy family and working lives, convenience and ease of service is everything for consumers. Our data shows that having access to PUDO services before or after the working day begins is increasingly taken advantage of by consumers, especially at the start of the week. This is no surprise given 99% of the UK population live within a mile of a PayPoint location. Our network of trusted retailers provides the perfect solution for parcel services, allowing consumers to free up their weekend for socialising and merge in-store services with trips they’re already taking. The freedom of early and later opening hours elevates the pressure of squeezing in parcels runs to times of the day which are already busy enough.
